I always had the privilege of having really good friends in my life and I still have. They accompanied me through all of life's ups and downs. We come from all different walks of life, yet our hearts are so closely knit together. We can always call and count on each other and together we are so much stronger in the Lord.

So I called this 'Friendship'

So this was a gift to my husband for our first anniversary. The elephant is such a great symbol for who he is. The gentle giant. A fearless man who can carry lots but is so tender and careful. A family man and protector, a provider and someone who will stand in the way of the enemy to protect his loved ones. I drew him joyful, free and feasting on the goodness of God 🙂 🐘

Job 37, 2-5

Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice,

to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.

He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven

and sends it to the ends of the earth.

After that comes the sound of his roar;

he thunders with his majestic voice.

When his voice resounds,

he holds nothing back.

God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways;

he does great things beyond our understanding.

This painting was created in the beginning of 2020, shortly before the corona crisis hit and was intended for an exhibition that was canceled 2 days before the event was to take place, just as safety measures were taken to prevent any further spreading of the virus. It is a symbol and reminder that the Lord is fighting for us and will bring forth justice.

Watching - Psalm 121

I have fallen in love with pastels and this is one of the results. The tiger that is resting but not sleeping, highly alert ready for immediate action. I love, the power, strength and beauty of this animal.

Psalm 121 - a fitting Psalm to go with it

My favourite yet

Working with pastels and working on animal portraits gives me so much joy. I kept looking into those warm brown eyes the whole time, as if he was watching me making him :)

Drawing people and animals and looking intently at every detail of them, makes me stand again and again in so much awe of the wonder of life and creation. We are all wonderfully and uniquely and intricately formed with love and care. Life is a miracle.

 so enjoyed drawing these cute little pet portraits. As a little girl I used to sit for hours in my room drawing our pets and other animals but mainly cats and horses. Somehow this takes me back to being me. Looking at this little kitten it feels like the mature version of the little me - 30 years later. In some ways it feels like wholeness to me.

Painted during our September Conference - 'Seeing heaven'

I loved drawing this. The more you look at the amazing detail, of how something was created, the more in awe you stand of the creator. Have you ever seen the detail on this butterfly? It's breathtakingly beautiful. Transformation happens on the inside first and is then seen on the outside. It enables us to suddenly see differently, move differently and explore new horizons, while drawing attention to the One who made us.
